Eintracht Frankfurt sign Noel Aseko from Bayern on a deal until 2031

Eintracht Frankfurt have signed Noel Aseko from Bayern Munich on a permanent transfer. The 20-year-old midfielder has agreed a contract until 30 June 2031. Frankfurt confirmed the move after Aseko returned from an 18-month loan at Hannover 96.

Aseko played regular senior football in Germany’s second division last season. He now joins a Bundesliga club after 33 league appearances for Hannover.

Aseko spent several years in Bayern’s youth and reserve teams. Regular Bundesliga appearances did not follow. Frankfurt have now signed him on a permanent contract.

Sporting director Markus Krosche highlighted Aseko’s anticipation and forward movement. Those comments describe why Frankfurt selected the midfielder. They do not confirm a fixed starting role.

The contract begins immediately and runs through June 2031. Frankfurt have not announced a separate loan or staged development programme.

The permanent transfer ends Aseko’s Bayern spell. Frankfurt did not announce another loan after completing the deal.

The official announcement does not promise starts, minutes or a specific position in every match.

The published agreement describes a five-year contract ending in June 2031. Aseko joins permanently rather than through another loan. No transfer fee was announced.

Aseko called the move an important step in his career. He described the earlier talks as open and respectful. He also welcomed meeting the squad and supporters.

Frankfurt completed the signing on 18 July. The announcement followed his summer return from Hannover. Bayern no longer control his next club assignment.

Aseko started 30 league matches for Hannover

Aseko joined Hannover on loan in February 2025. Across one and a half seasons, he made 33 appearances in Bundesliga 2. He also played once in the German Cup and ten times for the reserve team.

His second season brought the clearest progress. Aseko started 30 of Hannover’s 32 league matches in 2025/26. He scored three goals and supplied six assists as the club finished fourth.

The nine goal contributions accompanied a nearly complete league campaign. Aseko therefore arrives after a full season of regular senior football.

Hannover finished fourth in the 2025/26 table. Aseko’s 30 starts made him a regular part of that season. The figures are confirmed before his Bundesliga move.

His 33 second-division appearances cover the entire 18-month loan. Thirty-two came during the latest league season. The remaining appearance came during the earlier half-season.

Aseko also played once in the German Cup for Hannover. Ten reserve appearances came in Germany’s third division. Those matches increased his senior minutes outside Bundesliga 2.

Thirty starts from 32 league matches produced a 93.75 percent starting rate. He missed the starting lineup only twice. His three goals and six assists accompanied that availability.

Frankfurt list Aseko as a midfielder

Aseko is 1.78 metres tall and has played mainly as a defensive midfielder. He can also move into a more advanced midfield role. Earlier in his career, he was used at full-back when the team needed it.

Frankfurt reported Aseko won the second-highest number of duels at Hannover. He ranked third for distance covered and fourth for top speed.

Those rankings describe his final Hannover season. They do not determine his exact Frankfurt position. The club listed him as a midfielder.

His past appearances include defensive midfield, advanced midfield and full-back. Most recent senior minutes came in central midfield.

The duel ranking placed only one Hannover teammate above him. Two teammates covered more total distance. Three recorded a higher top speed during the league season.

Frankfurt highlighted his anticipation and forward movement from midfield. Those qualities came from the club’s sporting assessment. They were not presented as statistical guarantees.

His height is listed at 1.78 metres. The physical data accompany a mainly central role. Frankfurt did not announce a shirt number with the transfer.

Aseko was born in Berlin and began his football education with Hertha. He moved to Bayern in 2022. Later that year, he made his Regionalliga debut at 16 years and ten months.

Bayern gave him a professional contract in 2024. He made 30 appearances for the reserve side and scored twice. He later moved to Hannover for regular first-team appearances.

The midfielder has also represented Germany 23 times at youth level. Five of those appearances came for the under-21 team. Those appearances cover several German youth age groups.

His route includes Hertha, Bayern and Hannover. Frankfurt become his fourth major German club. The transfer is his first permanent move since joining Bayern.

Aseko entered Bayern’s Regionalliga team at 16 years and ten months. He later made 30 reserve appearances and scored twice. Bayern awarded his professional contract during 2024.

Five recent under-21 appearances form part of his 23 youth internationals. The remaining 18 came at younger levels. He has not received a senior Germany cap.

The contract and recent record are fully confirmed

Frankfurt confirmed the transfer, contract length and recent Hannover record. The club did not promise a starting place or publish a personal match plan.

Aseko’s six assists show his contribution beyond defensive work. His three league goals brought the combined total to nine.

He also has 23 youth appearances for Germany. Five came with the under-21 team. Those matches add international experience to his club record.

The completed transfer gives Frankfurt a 20-year-old midfielder through 2031. His competitive debut date remains unconfirmed.

The contract runs until 30 June 2031 and covers five seasons. Frankfurt confirmed that the move is permanent. Aseko is no longer registered through a loan agreement.

His latest complete league record contains 32 matches and 30 starts. Three goals and six assists produced nine direct contributions. Hannover finished fourth.

Frankfurt have not announced his first competitive squad. The contract still begins immediately. Training and registration can proceed under the completed permanent agreement.
